Dave Lindstrom Bio

Lindstrom is a native of Massachusetts and a graduate of Boston University with Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He is a nine-year veteran of the National Football League and while playing defensive end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Lindstrom gained a hands-on education in the business world working for Kessinger-Hunter, as a commercial Real Estate Associate and a registered NASD Broker for Yarmouth Brokerage. Upon his retirement from the NFL, Lindstrom developed, owned & operated a chain of Burger King restaurants – located in Overland Park, Louisburg, and Kansas City.

 

Long active in his community and State, Lindstrom serves and has served in many elected and appointed positions, including recently retired Chairman of the Board for the Kansas Turnpike Authority; the current Chairman of the Kansas Leadership Center; a Member of the Kansas City Chiefs Ambassadors; former Board Member and Chairman of Special Olympics Kansas; formerly a certified KS Supreme Court Approved Mediator; a Member of the KU Edwards Campus Vice Chancellor’s Advisory Committee; a formerly elected Trustee to the Johnson County Community College Board of Trustees; a formerly elected Commissioner on the Johnson County Board of County Commissioners; a former 2020 Candidate to represent Kansas in the US Senate and former Republican nominee for Kansas Lieutenant Governor in 2002.

 

Today, Lindstrom manages his own Real Estate business and is a resident of Overland Park, Kansas where he has lived since 1979. He and Mary, his wife of 42 years, are the proud parents of two daughters, Halee and Adrienne.
